Post a palooza

Most of the preparations have been made for this year's Pleche Opperman. Once again we have the trusty Billy Chiz driving the support vehicle and Pete with his recovering collar bone riding shotgun.
We have been incredibly fortunate over the years to have fantastic support and especially having Bill along for six years straight has meant we have to do no more than roll up at a control to find everything laid out for us to tuck into.

Bills genuine enthusiasm and organisation has always made it easy to pull into a town get a feed and access our gear and be back on your bike without any hold ups, whether in the early evening or the early hours of the morning. it's always ready.
Hot coffee or take away pizzas, lollies, lamingtons, hot cross buns or spuop ready to go and waiting for us under a shelter in a park somewhere in Victoria or at times just over into NSW.
We will be riding a route we have used in the past, starting in Tooborac and passing through Avenel, Violet town, Dookie, Numurkah, Barmah, Echuca and finally on to Rochester for the finish. Click here to view our route.
Both George and Surly Dave have been busy with a couple of fine posts for their blogs so check out our blog list for their latest musings on the bike.So in advance of this coming weekend's Oppy, Thanks Bill and Pete.

Steve.

  2. The City Lairs will have 3 teams this year (11 riders)and will be starting in Moama and then on to Nathalia, Numurkah, Katamtite, Tungamah, St James, Devenish, Dookie, Violet Town, Kialla, Mooroopna, Ardmona, Merrigum, Kyabram, Echuca, Moama (for a sleep), then on to Rochester for the finish. We should cross paths with you somewhere around Dookie or Violet Town. We are being supported by Monique who is preparing all of our food, Gina and Marilyn (all wives of some of our riders) and a TBA male as soon as we can confirm. Have a great ride and we may also see you all of you on the last leg from Echuca to Rochester.
